On our noon walk in Hanover yesterday, we encountered four Evening
Grosbeaks in the neighborhood between CRREL and the Ray School. Other
highlights were a Chipping Sparrow in the same area, and a singing
Brown Creeper at the intersection of Reservoir Road and the entrance
to Storrs Pond. Cedar Waxwings are still enjoying the fruit trees near
the Ray School.

Closer to home we have a Ruffed Grouse drumming just west of our
house, a Yellow-bellied Sapsucker hammering on a birdhouse, a Red-
bellied Woodpecker still putting in an occasional appearance, and
several American Woodcock peenting and displaying along Skyline Drive
and East Camp Hill Road.
