This morning I heard a lot of chickadee and red-eyed vireo calls, so I headed outside to see what else might be around. Quite a few species of warbler, including chestnut-sideds, black-throated greens, a few very scruffy looking yellow-rumpeds, and a singing black-and-white.
However, the clear highlights were a Tennessee Warbler, first I've ever seen in Vermont, a northern parula, very fun to see, and a blackpoll warbler, only the second one I've seen on my property.
