This is the Vermont Rare Bird Alert for August 4, covering the period July
28 - August 3, 2008.  

 

Five GREAT EGRETS were spotted in Rutland on 7/28.

 

Three LITTLE GULLS were seen at Charlotte Town Beach on 7/30 and 1 on 7/31.
A LITTLE GULL was also sighted on Grand Isle on 8/2.

 

YELLOW-BILLED CUCKOOS were seen in Wodstock (1) and Grand Isle (1) on 7/28.

 

A BLUE-WINGED WARBLER and a TENNESSEE WARBLER were observed in Rupert on
8/2.

 

Twenty-four WHITE-WINGED CROSSBILLS were present in Westmore on 7/28 and
7/29.  

 

A PINE SISKIN and 20 EVENING GROSBEAKS were seen in South Starksboro on 8/3.
