At 7:00 PM on Monday March 13, 2017, Bill Shepard from Thetford will be speaking on "Tools and Tricks of the Birding Trade" in the Mayer Room of the Howe Library in Hanover, NH. This free program is open to the public and has been arranged by the Mascoma Chapter of New Hampshire Audubon. Bill Shepard is a top flight birder of the Upper Valley and renowned as the originator and coordinator for the Connecticut River Birding Trail which resulted a series of colorful published maps which include a second edition for the Upper Valley. In his talk, he'll be "giving the audience some juicy tips on how to make birding more fun and productive." Bill's talk will include Upper Valley birding hot spots, recommended birding gear, making bird identifications, and "perhaps even some bird technology". Come and learn what one avid bider has to share, and add your own favorite tips.
