Today Ed and Sandy Hack, Kyle Kittelberger, and I had nice views of a
gnatcatcher not far from a trail leading from Juniper Hill Road to
Lake Runnemede in Windsor, VT. The location was a little northward
from a site where gnatcatchers nested in the past.

Other highlights at Lake Runnemede today included a Red-throated Loon
and a Great Egret, both of which have been there on recent days.

EH, SH, and GC later visited the Marton Road area of Windsor. where
highlights included an American Kestrel diving in mobbing behavior on
an adult Red-tailed Hawk, Wilson's Snipe, a pair of Eastern Bluebirds,
and a loudly singing Brown Thrasher.
