A friend just called - 3:45 p.m. - to report that he was watching a mature Bald Eagle that was perched on the Osprey nesting platform that is located in the wildlife refuge area on River Rd.  The eagle was preening.  Quite a sight.  Unfortunately, no camera!  Peg AckersonLyme Center
