A small but determined group of birders braved the snow flurries at Boston Lot this morning for the first Warbler Wednesday of the season. The highlight of the walk was the singing Louisiana Waterthrush that we finally saw; nearby we heard a Brown Creeper. Other notables were the song of a Winter Wren and the sight of a Broad-winged Hawk flying with something (nesting material? prey?) in its talons.

Join us next week, same time (7am), same place – snow shovels optional.

Also, Fridays at UV Dam, Thetford Center entrance, 7am.

See mascomabirds.com for more bird walks.
