So I checked out the Houghton Hill marsh this am, and Mimi's Trail across
from the Thetford Elem skool.
Bunch of Blck -thr Blues, a E Wood Peewee, regular good birds.
Then headed to Mystery Trail. Just inside the first yellow gate I slowed
down. Heard an odd song.
One I thougt I should check out. Persistence pays. I had great looks at a
Blue-winged Warbler. Not its typical "Bee-bzzz" song. Have had them in this
spot 100' in on the right from the gate before.
Adding ? To Dave Merker's list: Herrick's Cove, Lake Runnemede, and the
Windsor Prison lands on Marton Rd
2 Gadwall
1 Wilsons Snipe
2 Black Terns
6 Least Sandp
12 Dunlin
4 Swallows, no No Rough w
12 BG Gnats. at prison
1 No Waterthrush at Herricks, 1 Looziana W near prison
Marsh Wrens
Good outing.
