There was a reasonable amount of activity at Campbell Flats this
morning, though I couldn't linger as long as I'd have liked. George
Clark and Bill Shepard were there and may have additional birds to
report. Someone needs to find a Connecticut Warbler!
Highlights among 36 species:
Merlin 1
Eastern Phoebe 5
Blue-headed Vireo 1
Red-eyed Vireo 2
House Wren 1
Tennessee Warbler 1
Mourning Warbler 2 both observed well at close distance, both called; one in corn, probably same individual seen on 9/14
Common Yellowthroat 6
Magnolia Warbler 1
Blackpoll Warbler 2
Yellow-rumped Warbler (Myrtle) 1
Black-throated Green Warbler 2
Wilson's Warbler 1
Field Sparrow 1 in corn
White-throated Sparrow 3
Savannah Sparrow 4
Song Sparrow 35 almost certainly undercounted
Lincoln's Sparrow 2
Swamp Sparrow 1
Indigo Bunting 11 more individuals almost certainly present, all in corn
Red-winged Blackbird 60 minimum count
