Around mid day today (March 7), a first-year male Red-winged Blackbird
appeared in the backyard feeding area in the village section of
Norwich. Later in the afternoon, both a first-year male and a fully
adult male Red-wing were feeding in the backyard.

The birds today were my first sightings of Red-winged Blackbirds in
Norwich for 2010.

The two Common Goldeneyes seen from Foley Park in Norwich yesterday
were not found during a brief visit there today during the early
afternoon, but at least nine Cedar Waxwings were present.

George
