This is New Hampshire Audubon's Rare Bird Alert for Friday, February 16th, 
2007.



An immature KING EIDER was seen from Bicentennial Park in Hampton on 
February 10th. A female BARROW'S GOLDENEYE was seen just north of Foss Beach 
in Rye, on February 10th.



A CACKLING GOOSE, a SNOW GOOSE, an AMERICAN COOT, a WOOD DUCK, a RING-NECKED 
DUCK, and 105 COMMON GOLDENEYES were all seen at Lake Wantastiquet in 
Hinsdale on February 11th.



3 light-morph and 1 dark-morph ROUGH-LEGGED HAWKS were seen in Westmoreland 
near the corner of Routes 63 and 12 on February 11th. 2 light-morph 
ROUGH-LEGGED HAWKS were seen there on the 12th and 13th. Please note that 
land here is private property and be careful not to trespass if you park 
along the road. A ROUGH-LEGGED HAWK was reported from Signal Hill in Lebanon 
on the 11th.



A dark-morph ROUGH-LEGGED HAWK was seen along Route 93 north of Exit 30 in 
Thornton on February 13th. A dark-morph ROUGH-LEGGED HAWK was also reported 
on Route 93 just north of Exit 20 in Tilton on February 11th.



A LESSER BLACK-BACKED GULL was seen near Frost Point at Odiorne Point State 
Park in Rye, and an ICELAND GULL was seen in Kingston, both on February 
10th.



2 RAZORBILLS and 3 BLACK GUILLEMOTS were seen along the coast between 
Odiorne Point State Park and Pulpit Rocks in Rye on February 10th.



5 AMERICAN WIGEON and over 1,000 GREATER SCAUP were seen on Great Bay from 
Adam's Point in Durham on February 10th.



A lone LAPLAND LONGSPUR, a SNOW BUNTING, and over 30 HORNED LARKS were 
reported from Hampton Beach State Park on February 9th.



A BROWN THRASHER was seen in Concord at Horseshoe Pond on February 11th.



A WILSON'S SNIPE was seen in Salem on February 13th.



2 TURKEY VULTURES were seen in Hampstead on February 11th, and 6 TURKEY 
VULTURES were seen in the downtown Newmarket area on the 10th.



2 BOREAL CHICKADEES were seen on Long Pond Road in Errol on February 10th.



15 EVENING GROSBEAKS were seen on Rolling Ridge Drive in Bartlett on 
February 13th, and 30 were reported from Chickwolnepy Road in Milan on the 
10th.



Good numbers of WHITE-WINGED CROSSBILLS continued to be reported from the 
White Mountains area and Great North Woods during the past week.



A NORTHERN HARRIER, 8 SAVANNAH SPARROWS, and 64 HORNED LARKS were seen in 
fields near Squamscott Road in Stratham on February 10th.



2 FOX SPARROWS continue to be seen at a bird-feeding station in Deerfield 
where they were last reported on February 15th.



A possible FISH CROW was reported from Kingston on February 10th.



A possible OSPREY was seen near Exit 1 on Route 89 in Bow and was reported 
on February 14th.



Several NORTHERN SAW-WHET OWLS have been reported heard vocalizing during 
the past week.



There have been a number of BALD EAGLE sightings from open-water areas 
located throughout the state during the past week.



102 DARK-EYED JUNCOS and a WHITE-THROATED SPARROW were seen at a 
bird-feeding station in Fremont on February 14th.



There have been scattered reports of several RED-BELLIED WOODPECKERS, 
CAROLINA WRENS, and EASTERN BLUEBIRDS during the past week.
