A Happy Ending....
Yesterday a Yellow-bellied Sapsucker (m) crashed into our window- hawk
attack, I think. He looked bad. Put him in a warm box, took him to VINS. By
the time I got there he was scrabbling in the box. They tested him ,
declared him well and I brought him back home and released him. Today he is
expressing his gratitude by continually rapping on our metal roof! I don't
care-I'm really happy he survived. Hard-headed fellow I'd say. :)

Incidentals:
Chipmunk at Ledyard FOY
Beaver in Wilder
