Nine participants joined in this morning's bird walk in the Norwich
(VT) nature area under the sponsorship of the Milton Frye Nature Area
Committee. Skies were overcast, dark, and a bit threatening, but the
time afield came fortunately in a period between downpours. Highlights
among more than 35 bird species included 10 species of warblers.
Special thanks to Scott Johnson for compiling the list of birds
encountered:
Canada Goose (1 in flight)
Mallard 2 (seen at remarkably close distance)
Greater Yellowlegs (calling) flying over alongside a smaller sandpiper
thought to be most likely
