This is New Hampshire Audubon's Rare Bird Alert for Thursday, June 21st, 
2007.

A BLUE GROSBEAK was discovered in the fields next to the NH Audubon McLane 
Center on Silk Farm Road in Concord on June 7th, and was last reported on 
the 17th.



2 CERULEAN WARBLERS were reported from Middle Mountain trail in Pawtuckaway 
State Park in Nottingham on June 8th, and again on the 18th.



An ARCTIC TERN, 4 ROSEATE TERNS, a BLACK-CROWNED NIGHT-HERON, 4 GREAT 
EGRETS, and a SNOWY EGRET were seen in Hampton Harbor on June 16th.



Several SALTMARSH SHARP-TAILED SPARROWS and NELSON'S SHARP-TAILED SPARROWS 
were seen at Chapman's Landing in Stratham on June 18th, and several of both 
were seen at the Nature Conservancy Lubberland Creek Preserve in Newmarket 
on June 17th.



4 GRAY JAYS, 2 BOREAL CHICKADEES, and 4 BAY-BREASTED WARBLERS were seen at 
the Deer Mountain Campground in Pittsburg on June 14th.



2 PHILADELPHIA VIREOS were seen at Scott's Bog in Pittsburg on June 14th, 
and 2 were reported from Pontook Reservoir along Route 16 in Dummer on the 
12th.



Several AMERICAN PIPITS were reported from Mount Washington near the Auto 
Road above tree line on June 13th.



A female BLACK-BACKED WOODPECKER was seen on the Little Cherry Pond trail at 
Pondicherry Wildlife Sanctuary on June 16th, and one was seen along Mountain 
Pond Road in Errol on the 12th.



A MERLIN was reported from Errol on June 12th.



Several WHITE-WINGED CROSSBILLS and BICKNELL'S THRUSHES were reported from 
high-elevation habitat in the White Mountains during the past week.



A GADWALL was reported from Pontook Marsh in Dummer on June 12th.



A HORNED GREBE in breeding plumage was seen off Foss Beach in Rye on June 
20th.



PIPING PLOVERS are attempting to nest on the coast with 2-pairs on Seabrook 
Town Beach and 1-pair at Hampton Beach State Park.



16 PIED-BILLED GREBES were counted during a survey of the Brentwood 
Mitigation Area on June 17th.



There were several reports of NORTHERN GANNETS and WILSON'S STORM-PETRELS 
off of the coast during the past week.



There was an unconfirmed report of a GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GOOSE seen from 
the Newington Town Dock near Fox Point on June 17th. Birders are encouraged 
to search for this bird and report their findings.
