This morning, 26 participants enjoyed a bird walk arranged by the West Fairlee Conservation Commission at a private farm in West Fairlee, VT. We began under sunshine and brightness with a gradually increasing overcast but with overall pleasant temperatures and calm breezes throughout. Among 44 species detected were 4 species of flycatchers and 12 species of warblers.
Especially fine views were obtained of a female Hooded Merganser possibly nesting at the farm, Alder and Least Flycatchers, Eastern Kingbirds, Yellow Warblers, a Nashville Warbler, a Common Yellowthroat, and a very cooperative male Bobolink.

A full list of species and other details can be found at https://ebird.org/vt/view/checklist/S45828832

Special thanks go to coleader Kathy Thompson, to Peggy Willey and other members of the West Fairlee Conservation Commission, and to the owners of Elmwood Farm for their splendid help in enabling this morning's walk.
