one lone snow goose in a 200+ bird flock in the meadows east of village, along the ottaqueeche river.

the bird looked different than a plain old "snow goose," with a very white head but a darker brownish/tan body.  sibley's shows a "dark adult morph...." that looked like it.

i've never seen one of these before...

i also learned that it was waterfowl hunting season....
