I was amazed the first time I saw a wild turkey lift effortlessly into
flight.  I still am.  Eight have joined the large flock of redpolls in our
yard, although they really don't mix. Today a red fox came by. The birds
ignored it, and the fox ignored the birds although sometimes it came within
10 yards of the turkeys. It feasted on the sunflower seeds scattered by the
redpolls.
