I finally spotted the flock of Horned Larks in the meadow/cornstubble behind the sewage treatment plant in Woostock, VT.  After watching a flock of 30-40 birds swirl around in the air for 15 minutes they settled down and I got a good view.  

I was pretty psyched as it's a "life bird" for me...
