An early morning kayak trip today from Hewes Landing to Grant Brook and back
yielded views of a Red-tailed Hawk,  Belted Kingfisher,  very red Cardinal
with mate, Song Sparrows, Red-winged Blackbirds, Black-capped Chickadee,
Canada Geese, Hooded Ducks, Wood Ducks, Mallards, and Green-winged Teal.
Also several beaver.
