A relaxing afternoon on the deck, pretending it was summer, with the
birds coming right to us. Among the more notables was our
overwintering Red-bellied Woodpecker, checking out tree holes and
churring loudly; a Chipping Sparrow, a Field Sparrow, a singing
Yellow-rumped Warbler, and a pair of Cooper's Hawks setting up house.
