Reminder: Meet at 7:15 PM on Tuesday April 21 and/or Thursday April
23, 2015, in the Kendal of Hanover reception area at 80 Lyme Road in
Hanover, NH, to carpool within Hanover to view the spectacular
spiraling skyward flight of the male American Woodcock in courtship
display. These field trips, lasting a little less than 2 hours each,
led by George Clark and Joanne Norton, and cosponsored by the Mascoma
Chapter of New Hampshire Audubon and the Kendal Bird Club, are free
and open to the public. Bring binoculars and dress for warmth in the
early evening chill. Wear foot gear for possible soggy/wet conditions
and be prepared to walk short distances over uneven but fairly level
terrain. A flashlight may be helpful. In the unfortunate case of
steady precipitation on a particular evening, this event will not be
held.
George Clark
Norwich, VT
