On a cloudy cool morning, with sun finally breaking through at Boston Lot Lake, we saw or heard 37 species (not counting blackflies):

DC cormorant
turkey vultures
common grackles
rock doves
winter wren
ovenbirds
blue jays
mourning doves
RB grosbeaks
common yellowthroats
Am crows
wood thrush
brown creeper
chestnut-sided warbler
Am goldfinch
Am robins
eastern phoebes
palm warbler
yellow-rumped warbler
BT green warblers
BT blue warblers
northern parula
blackburnian warbler (wow!)
veery
tree swallows
ruffed grouse
kingbird
mallard ducks
song sparrows
YB sapsuckers
Baltimore oriole
Canada geese
purple finches
broad-winged hawk
northern flicker
Am redstarts
WB nuthatch
