I feel that is taking a sledgehammer to crack a nut. The computer is actually running fine, Im just having this issue with the desktop icons once or twice a week. I use DIM 2.0.1 to memorize Icon positions so I can restore Icon positions again with only one click when this happens.

Not really, they are all great programs that I can wholeheartedly recommend.

First I must know then WHAT to delete. :-)
I use AppCleaner and Find Any File when deleting unwanted stuff.
