To not have a default Nisus New File.dot is strange indeed. Even if you
delete all New Files.dot, a default Nisus New File.dot will be created when
you launch NWP.

The file name of your customised dot file does not have to be 'Nisus New
File'.dot, so you can have Arabic.dot, Persian.dot, etc.

You can also edit the current dot file without opening it. This can be done
in NWP Preferences=>New File by clicking the ‘Format’ button. For example,
if you want to change the font or the size of the font, click on the Font
button displaying the name of the current font. This will open Apple's font
panel from which you can select the font and size. You New File will be
modified immediately to reflect the changes.
