I don't think you'øre doing anything wrong. If I recall right from the
NW 6,5 help and guide, ver. 6,5 is not able to handle papersizes larger
than B4 Extended...
I too am unable to set any papersize larger than the B4 Extended. Just
checked this on my G5 running OS 9.2.2 in classic mode, but to be sure I
should have been able to startup in OS 9.2.2 on my MDD, but that machine
is for the time out of the use...
If you should happen to have a copy of AppleWorks 6.2.5 or newer -
classic or OS X doesn't matter here, since AppleWorks .2 will
automatically open in OS X 10.4.11 with all the benefits that OS X gives
in the 'Print' dialog. - Then you could make all the writings in NW as
usual. Save the NW file into 'MS DOS-Rich Text' in the NW saving dialog.
When finished just open the .RTF file in AppleWorks 6. Select 'Page
Setup', choose 'A3' in 'Paper Size', click OK. Then do all the
formattings in AppleWorks and save the file as a .cwk. You now have a
full A3 document. The Palatino font is native installed with AppleWorks,
so it won't give any problems in an AppleWorks document.
Now in the open AppleWorks file you choose 'Print' and select 'Print to
PDF' and it will be saved as a fully compatible and press-ready PDF file
- in size A3.
NOTE. There is a bit different line height counting in NW 6.5 and
AppleWorks 6, so it may be necessary to change line height settings in
AppleWorks to equalize to the NW document.
I don't know how much this will help you, but my guess is that it will
be the best solution along with NW 6.5...
Cheers, Erik Richard
