Thanks Hamid... I was both what I've found out myself and yet feared 
would be the result. So I nu think it will be best to keep each chapter 
in a single file and then put in any refs and links subseq	uently in a 
separate file as the very last chapter. It doesn't matter that much that 
refs and links are not numbered, since most of them although will be 
links for webpages and books, which are more broadened to more pages or 
the chapter itself....
