Hello all-knowing nisoiples.:-)

I'm for the moment working on a project consisting of apprx. 20
chapters, where I need to insert quite a lot of notes (endnotes). This
I'm rather familiar with, - so so far so good...

The plans are to make each chapter in a separate NWP document and then
merge all cocs when the work is finished....

My problem/question is more special... In those chapters there will be
two kind of notes:

1, Common notes on text and content
2, References and links that also need to be put at the end of the document.

Q, Is it possible to work with two independant note sets in a NWP file?

Q, when the work is finished and the docs are merged, is it possible
that notes, references and links are 'pushed' and numbered continiously
in the final document?

...A small example
Chapter 1:
Text text text(note1) text text text(note2) text(ref1), text(ref2)
text(link1) text text(note3) text(ref3) etc.etc......

Chapter 2:
Text text text(note1) text text text(note2) text(ref1), text(ref2)
text(link1) text text(note3) text(ref3) etc.etc......

Final and merged document:
Text text text(note1) text text text(note2) text(ref1), text(ref2)
text(link1) text text(note3) text(ref3) etc.etc......
Text text text(note4) text text text(note5) text(ref3), text(ref4)
text(link1) text text(note6) text(ref5) etc.etc......

Yes, it's not a miss that the 'link1' is in both places, since these
links probably will refer to the same online web address...

I know that endnotes should be pushed if you use only one set of notes,
but will it be possible to merge correctly with more sets? - Or should I
rather prefer to use notes placed at the end of each chapter (as
endnotes) and avoid merging? - The final merged document can easily
reach +600 A4 pages with margins set to 1,5cm all around and using Arial
13p for body text and ArialBold 16b for headers and Arial Rounded 18p
for chapter names.

There probably also will be one or more graphics / pictures per chapter
in 96dpi or 150dpi JPEG format... Out from some pre-calculations I've
calculated a merged final document to be of apprx. 4-8 gigabyte -
depending on how many graphics files are in the doc, - i.e. a rather
large file....

Q, According to the above, sould it be easiest/best to keep each chapter
in a single file?

...I'm really uncertain on what to do here, so any advice would be
wellcome...

Cheers, Erik Richard
