Due to the size limit of the resource fork, I guess. Try to divide the document to smaller portions as Bob explained.

BTW, as a 32 bit application, Nisus Writer Pro has a limit of memory. If you force it to use more than 2GB, it crashes, for example, by running bad macros ;-)
