Geoff's point about 'continuous' updating/upgrading of applications has resonance with me.

Back in the OS7/OS8 days, there was an application which allow viewing of the Finder in columns, amongst other things. The author, both his name and that of the application, has long passed from memory but I wrote to him after getting a fresh version on a weekly basis and told him that my download capacity was being strained and why did he do it. Answer: no update, no sales. He was a mathematician who paid his way through college and university and upwards just from a couple of useful apps.

The same probably goes for VueScan; a great replacement for the official scanning software such Epson and HP. Has gone from v.9.0 to v.9.0.19 over several weeks - small changes but done to reflect each upgrade for minor glitches with a couple of the several hundred scanners which are included.

But in regards to Nisus, surely the thing to do is leave NWP at its current level [I have no complaints; any changes would be floss for me.] and work on an Apple App Store version of NW Express at a very reduced price; perhaps US$15-$20-$30. For those who want more, NWP in its full glory is available, and at its $79 is not too much. But get a leg in fast.

And get it out there before Mariner or the others get in first.

I wonder if Nisus People read what we say?
