First, my apologies for not including a subject in the original message. 
Chalk it up to the advance of decriptude brought upon by old age.

Second, with the help of Mark Woodring, a colleague, I figured out the 
problem.  In OSX 10.4 and beyond, Appletalk zones are not recognized (the 
actual technical explanation is probably more precise, but what I just 
said will do).  I had to switch to TCP addresses and get rid of the "in 
Appletalk Zone "Production Zone" phrase.  We're back up and running.

Hello All:

I have users who have just gotten around to upgrading to Tiger.  The 
script they use has lines looking like this:

        mount volume "V095" on server "yearbook" in AppleTalk zone 
"Production Zone" as user name "nt01r" with password "correctpassword"

When the script executes this line, Tiger displays the following error and 
the script shuts down:

        Connection failed.\\The server may not exist or it is not 
operational at this time.  Check the server name or IP address and try 
again.

When I manually mount the server using the above arguments the server 
mounts just fine.  I have two questions:

1.)  Has the command syntax for mounting a server in Applescript changed?
2.)  Looking in the Finder dictionary I did not find any description for 
"mount."  Where can I find it described?
