We have both a Sanako 1200 and 300 system. The 300 system is not VOIP
while the Study 1200 is VOIP. While VOIP does work, it does have a
couple of niggling features, that of latency and if the sound is on in
stations that are unoccupied, there is an annoying echo that occurs in
the room. One other benefit is that if you are use to a traditional
taped based language lab, the Sanako 300 system emulates that very
closely.

We had an old Robotel system and the instructors gave up on it.

If you wish to call me on either of the phones listed below I would be
happy to answer any other questions.

Subject: #8809 Robotel vs. Sanako

Hi everyone,

I searched the archives before this posting and I'm not seeing much on
this topic, surprisingly. The University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point is
in lab replacement mode and they are having trouble deciding between
Robotel and Sanako. For those of you who have experience with one or
both, please send your thought on what you really like about them and
what you find difficult or frustrating? They need to make a decision
ASAP so your quick feedback is appreciated. We are interested both in
quality/flexibility of the systems features and company support/
training.

You can either email me and/or Richard Ruppel, [log in to unmask]

Thanks for you time and thoughts.
