Information Specialist, Academic Resource Center, University of  
Kansas, Lawrence.

Primary responsibility is to maintain Center's three computer  
classrooms, staff workstations and servers; other responsibilities  
include assisting in training users in hardware/software/audio-video  
equipment and in developing center's web resources (www.ku.edu/~egarc).

Required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience; Work  
experience in maintaining computer workstations and in  
troubleshooting hardware and software problems; Experience in  
Microsoft Office applications and development of web pages and  
digital media; Effective oral and written communication skills for  
interacting with faculty, staff and students.

Preferred: Master's in CALL, educational technology, computer science  
or related fields; Experience in web/database integration for  
educational and research applications; Experience in server operating  
systems (e.g., Microsoft Server 2000; Mac Server X); Experience with  
multimedia software (e.g., Photoshop, Flash, Director); Familiarity  
with computer and network security issues; Knowledge of a foreign  
language and multilingual computing.
