IALLT Colleagues,
I want to let you know about a day-long forum, World Languages:
Transforming Language Teaching and Learning through Technology, that is
being held at the Batterymarch Conference Center this Friday. Presenters
include Fernando Rubio (U. Utah), a couple of our own- Samantha Earp (Duke
University) and Andrew Tabor (formally at LSU and now with Houghton
Mifflin), and Steve Budge from Mesa Community College, among others.
The event is free, but does require registration. Lunch is
included with your registration.
In addition to providing an opportunity for IALLT-ites to get
together before our conference in June, this symposium provides a chance
to introduce other attendees to the "world of IALLT". I always make a big
point of introducing non-IALLT attendees to the organization at these
forums, but I will unfortunately not be at this meeting to promote the
organization this time (so it's up to you to show them the advantages of
our professional organization!), but look forward to seeing you all in
June.
Feel free to share the attached flier.
LeeAnn
