I provide database developer services to about 2 dozen non-profit organizations and small businesses in the Madison, Wisconsin, area. I'm always tweaking the various installations, slipping in new and improved ways of doing business as I learn about them (or as FMI makes them available), and naturally I'd like to keep the various installations in sync with each other so they all have the latest and greatest services and procedures.

This also entails trying to keep the users informed, which has proved to be a bit of a challenge as new features get installed at some locations but not at others. Frankly, I haven't done a very good job of explaining who's got what abilities and capacities.

It doesn't even remotely pretend to apply to any installations except my own. It's completely idiosyncratic to my own operations.

Nonetheless, I thot it might serve as an example of how one developer goes about keeping his clients abreast of what's happening with their systems, and you may find ideas in it that could be useful to you (or, much more desirably, you could have suggesstions you could send to me).
