Hi Folks:

I have been putting off upgrading my FMP 8.5 advanced because of the
uncertainty that my department might switch to a completely different
project management software. But now I'm told that the FMP database
will continue to be used and over the summer we will be installing
FMP Server so that more people can have access to the database.

Great news for me after many years of hard work developing the
database. Now comes the question of how high I should go from 8.5? I
just read on Filemakers web site that they will no longer support or
produce v8 or v8.5, so it makes even more sense to upgrade.

My users are on PCs and I am on a Mac Pro OS X. My system will
upgrade this month to the latest version of MacPro or iMac that is
available. But most of my users will not and I believe they are using
FMP v7. So which version would you recommend I upgrade to?

TIA,
Peter
