               The Inn at Knotty Crossing
                        at the DOC House
A Termly Fair-and-Feast in Medieval Fashion
              Saturday the 20th, 2 to 8 PM
Dinner at 6 PM (please RSVP to "garb")

You might be interested to know, what's the theme of this term's Inn? After all, sometimes we travel to Rome, and sometimes to Spain, etc., sampling the foods of all the nations as we go on our termly journey. This term, however, it was decided to make the theme more general, so as to encompass all of medieval Europe in its cuisinary glory, from honey butter to meat pies to potato cakes to a stew so excellent that I can't tell you what it will consist of--you see it's a potluck we're having, with a mystery stew in the mix; and all are encouraged to bring their own dish and thus add to the splendor of the feast. That will be at 6 PM. And before then? Games of all sorts from all over the medieval universe, music consonant with period tastes, and fencing for those seized with a fighting spirit. You'll have traveled across a gap of centuries when you come to the DOC house on Saturday, never to return to icy Hanover till you step out the door again.
