The Fallacy of International Service:
Is Something Better Than Nothing?

Thursday, Nov. 10

Participating in a service project is often a confusing
experience. How do we weigh the benefits and weaknesses of a
service project? If a service program has no significant
impact on a community, can we justify it as an educational
experience for ourselves? If so, do we have a responsibility
to share this experience when we get back home, and how do
we represent it to our peers?
