The Dickey Center will host Jeremy Teicher '10 for a film screening and
discussion on his latest project "This Is Us."

WEDNESDAY, November 17th
6pm
Haldeman 041

Armed with donated Kodak flip cameras, Teicher set out to teach a group of
Senegalese youth how to write, film, and narrate stories about their daily
lives. The result is a 30 minute film of collected stories by the students
that provides an honest and insightful look at their hopes and challenges.

All of the stories from the "This is Us" project can be found in full at
http://www.ProjectThisIsUs.org

"This Is Us" had its premiere showing at the American Embassy in Dakar,
Senegal on November 3rd and a follow-up premiere at the French Cultural
Center in Dakar on November 4th.

The project was funded by a Lombard Post-graduate Fellowship offered by the
Dickey Center.
