There are over 1,500 migrant dairy farmworkers in Vermont, most of whom are from
southern Mexico. Interested in learning more how they ended up in Vermont and
what their lives are like?

"Silenced Voices" Migrant Farmworker Film Screening  + discussion with filmmakers
film trailer: http://vimeo.com/13012523

Tuesday, April 19, 7:30 PM

Chilcott Auditorium [Conveniently reached by entering front door of DMS, turning
immediately right down the stairs one flight and following the signs]

Homemade dessert too!

The Dartmouth Medical School migrant health interest group is sponsoring a screening
of the 30-minute film "Silenced Voices" this coming Tuesday (4/19) at 7:30pm in
Chilcott auditorium. Afterwards, the filmmakers will lead a short discussion exploring
the politics and economics that brought the farmworkers to Vermont. Several medical
students who have been involved in providing healthcare to the workers will be
on hand to answer questions about how Dartmouth students can be involved in migrant
worker issues.
