Hello Everyone!

Want to improve your tango skills? Want to have a good time and meet new people?  
Then tango is definitely for you! Come join the Dartmouth Argentine Tango TONIGHT  
at Occom Commons!

Want to be even more involved?! DATS is looking for undergraduates who would like  
to take on a leadership position. Current openings include: Vice President & Secretary!

Course Time:
Beginners: 7-8PM
Adv. Beginners: 8-9PM
Practica: 9-11PM

CLASS DESCRIPTION

Tango for Beginners -- 7:00 p.m.
  In a 4 hour cycle, this class is for those who are new
to Argentine tango. No partner necessary. We will cover the
basics: Balance; Front, side & back steps; Walking; Lead
and follow; the basic dance pattern; how to lead the
"Cross"; and fundamentals for navigating around the dance
floor.
  This class is also useful for students who have taken
some classes, but want to strengthen their basics!

Please sign up at the start of the 4 week cycle*.
Students must complete the 4 hour cycle before moving to
the Advanced Beginners level.

By the 4th lesson, students will be able to dance
incorporating the learned tolls.

Advanced Beginners Tango -- 8:00 p.m.
In a 6 hour cycle, this level is for students who have
taken at least 4 hours of beginner classes. We will review
walking, lead and follow, and cover: Musicality; Front and
back "ochos"; "ocho cortado"; Rocking steps; and "media
vuelta". Students should take this cycle at least twice
before moving onto a more advanced level.


*NO NEW STUDENTS WILL BE ALLOWED IN CLASS AFTER THE 2ND
WEEK; those wishing to join are welcome to observe the
class, and then Sign Up for the start of the following
weekly cycle.
