"Prospects for Renewable Energy in Combating Climate Change"
Dr. Benjamin Luce, Lyndon State College, Physics and Sustainability Studies
7:00pm, 041 Haldeman Center
(Followed by an 8pm meeting of the Dartmouth Coalition on Climate Change)

Dr. Luce will discuss relevant facts about cost trends, resources, environmental impacts, and technological innovations. He has worked at Los Alamos National Laboratory and was president of the New Mexico Solar Energy Association.

Prior to teaching at Lyndon State College, Dr. Luce worked in the Theoretical Division at Los Alamos National Laboratory from 1993-2007 where he conducted research in nonlinear phenomena and renewable energy. He also served as president of the New Mexico Solar Energy Association for five years, and chair/director of the New Mexico Coalition for Clean Affordable Energy for a decade, and was centrally involved in the development of clean energy legislation in New Mexico, including the state's renewable energy standard and tax incentives for solar and wind.
