The Donald Claflin Jewelry Studio is proud to present a slide lecture with Noellynn
Pepos, a mixed media sculptor from Victor, Montana. Pepos' roots as an artist
started in the instrument repair room of her family's music store learning to
play with old instruments, torches, tools, metal, wood and a variety of materials.
As a studio artist her work has followed that mixed-media/multi-disciplinary
path involving jewelry, blacksmithing, textiles, basketry, papermaking and more.
She describes her work as being "rooted in process" and as "an exploration pulsating
between abstraction and representation, hard and soft, what we know and what we
think we know." Noellynn Pepos has a MFA from SIU, Carbondale, IL and has taught
and exhibited extensively across the USA. www.noellynnpepos.com
