The murder of unarmed black teenager Trayvon Martin on February 26, 2012, by admitted
shooter George Zimmerman has captured national attention, with hundreds of ongoing
protests throughout the U.S. demanding justice. Zimmerman remains free, with
investigations mounting by the FBI, Department of Justice, and local officials

Shaima Alawadi, an Iraqi-American wife and mother of five, died days after being
brutally attacked in her own home last month. A hateful note was found beside
her body after she was attacked, stating that she was a terrorist and should go
home, leading many to consider her case a hate crime. The FBI and El Cajon
