Hive Battery Labs is seeking a Director of Analytics to join our growing team in Seattle. We are an early-stage clean technology company spun out of Thayer in 2016, lowering the cost of lithium-ion batteries through improved manufacturing diagnostics. Our unique hardware platform enables laboratory-grade electrochemical measurement at manufacturing-scale throughput, and our modeling and analytics platform provides our customers with actionable insights to reduce manufacturing time and cost.
Primary activities will include building and deploying predictive analytics to drive battery quality determination farther upstream in the manufacturing process, data visualization and presentation, and collaboration for design of experiments. We're looking for candidates with an MS or PhD degree in an engineering or scientific field, strong theoretical and practical application of machine learning and statistics, and strong programming experience in the scientific Python stack.
