Thanks to the collective efforts of the SPCSA this past fall, the administration
has created a second SAAP coordinator position, increased financial and adminstrative
support to MAV and SAPA, implemented a safety shuttle, created a new website,
and is bringing Jen Sayre '93 to campus to consult on a new prevention program.

During the winter term, the Student Presidential Committee on Sexual Assault will
be focused on changing campus culture to one that encourages healthy relationships,
and in which sexual assault is not tolerated. We aim to educate the community
and encourage discussion through our outreach efforts.

To this end, SPCSA will consist of 3 working groups: Greek, MAV/SAPA, and Communications.
The estimated time commitment for any of the working groups is 3 hrs/week.

WORKING GROUP DESCRIPTIONS:

-The Greek working group will work with GLOS to define policies for Greek houses
and organizes events to promote awareness and education targeting affiliated students.

-The MAV/SAPA working group will work with the SAAP Office and consultant Jen
Sayre '93 to refine MAV's mission and goals and to redefine the relationship between
MAV and SAPA.

-The Communications working group will focus on outreach to faculty, alumni, and
the campus community. The communications working group consists of:

Campus working group: Coordinates outreach to various student communities. Regularly
updates the campus on SPCSA's progress. Manages the website, blitz account, and
facebook page.

Faculty working group: identifies various faculty members who might be interested
in the issue. Brainstorms on how to solicit faculty help. Organizes faculty outreach
events.

Alumni working group: identifies alumni who might be interested. Brainstorms on
how to solicit alumni help. Works with alumni groups on campus.
