Short Bio: Currently serving as Dartmouth's assistant director of varsity athletics communications, Dara Ely has eight years of experience working in Division I athletics. At Dartmouth, Ely is directly responsible for publicity for several of the Big Green's most high-profile sports including: women's basketball, women's soccer and the nationally ranked women's lacrosse and men's soccer teams. As a public relations professional, Ely's job entails writing web releases and feature stories, compiling notes for the media, award nominations, handling interview requests for coaches and student-athletes and much more.
In addition to her communications work, Ely has experience and insight into college athletics' marketing, event management and development. Having earned a bachelor's degree in English from Holy Cross in 2004, she has turned a liberal arts education into a successful career in sports. She also earned a master's degree in sports leadership from Duquense University in 2010.

Attendance is highly encouraged for anyone interested in collegiate athletics or looking to get more involved with SBAD.

PLEASE RSVP. We will only be taking the first 20 respondents because the event is catered. You can respond directly to this email and we will put you on the list....so hurry, the event is in two days!

Also, come prepared with any questions you want Dara to answer about collegiate athletics or her career in general. If you can blitz them in with your RSVP, that would be preferable.

Can't wait to see you there!

All the Best,

The SBAD Executive Board
